About

To me, art is a verb.

I love to work in acrylics, digital painting, pen and ink, and practically any medium that will express the message I want to get across. Watercolor, oils and fiber arts are secondary media that I work in. I have associates degrees in Liberal Arts and Animation from KVCC, with lots of dabbling in other interests, and my years are split between growing up in the Chicago suburbs and the college years in Kalamazoo, but plan to move to the West coast.

I have worked teaching to groups of adults and kids, and love freelance tutoring to adults in art techniques and color theory.

There are three big reasons why I art.

The first is worship God through the satisfaction of creating things and the joy of the textures of the materials he created.

The Second is to dignify others by way of offering something of value to enrich their lives, and also to illustrate ideas that are uniquely communicated through the arts, using whatever media necessary to get the message across.

Lastly, I create to release my thoughts or capture spiritual lessons in a very temporary form, like snapshots or a book of pressed butterflies, things of beauty we attempt to preserve from the ethereal, abstract world that hold more meaning than our physical one.
My artwork can be seen in local galleries and on my blogs, Etsy store, or at the occasional craft fair.

I would love to continue on inventing tools for artists and people to use for art therapy, or any tools that helps you grow closer to God.
